NTR Jaggery market: The chief crop cultivated in Anakapalle is sugarcane which is also the main source of income for many farmers in the villages around Anakapalle. It is known to be the second largest Jaggery market in the country. The Anakapalle market not only drives the economy of the town but also of at least 20 mandals in the district by providing attractive returns to farmers and providing employment to laborers. It houses the NTR Jaggery market which is one of the biggest wholesale market and a go-down for Jaggery in India.

Bojjana Konda Buddhist Stupa: Located on the outskirts of Anakapalle, is one of the two Buddhist sites which exist on adjacent hillocks near a village called Sankaram. It has a large group of monolithic stupas, rock-cut caves and chaityas surrounding the rock-cut platforms of the Maha stupa constructed of brick. The Indian National Trust for Arts and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) has already appealed to the authorities to ensure better protection of Buddhist sites by taking up the declaration of Bavikonda, Thotlakonda, Pavurallakonda and Bojjannakonda as heritage sites by UNESCO.

Nookambika Temple: Sri Sri Nookambika Ammavari Temple or Sri Nookallamma Ammavaari Devasthanamu, is a temple located in Gavarapalem in the municipality of Anakapalle. The temple houses the goddess Nookambika. Appalaraju built this temple to Kakatambika, a family goddess. She would later be called Nookambika or Nookalamma. On ”Kottha Amavasya”, a day before Ugadi, thousands of people from Andhra Pradesh come to the temple for worship. The income of the temple runs to a tune of 68 lakhs per year. With the contribution of donors, new cottages were constructed and new roads were laid to the temple.

Rail Bridge on Sarada River, Sarada bridge: This is one of the oldest bridges, constructed by the British government which runs over River Sarada running for 122 kilometers and joins the Bay of Bengal. The catchment area of the basin is 2,665 square kilometers. It rises at an elevation of 1,000 meters in the Eastern Ghats. It is still used as a passage for trains coming from the south and going towards Anakapalle and further north to Visakhapatnam.

Satyanarayana Konda: This temple is situated on the top of a small hill at Kasimkota about 2 km from Anakapalle. It is a pleasant place to visit. Hundreds of steps lead the devotees all the way up. The area around the temple has a small park set up recently where families can relax after the climb. One can also enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Anakapalle town from the top.

Cinema theater culture in Anakapalle: Like in any city in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, movies are the biggest means of entertainment for the people living here with numerous theaters both old and new. Shirdi Sai theater, the first multiplex in Anakapalle opened to the public in 2011. Some theaters are also known for screening cinemas of only a particular hero or genre over the years.

Places around Anakapalle: Anakapalle is known for its seashores such as Mutyalammapalem, Tantadi, and Pudimadaka. Pudimadaka is visited by Hindus during the festival of Kartika Pournami every year. It is also the gateway to the port city of Vishakapatnam. NH 16, an important highway for both trade and transport with a total length of 1,533 km span through the states of West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, passes through Anakapalle.
