On planning to bring a major boost to the IT Industry of the state, AP’s government is all set to establish Google’s first ever code lab in India. Global IT giant Google has chosen Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) to set this lab up. A team of experts from Google have already made a visit to VVIT campus to finalise the plans. VVIT has already been recognised as Centre of Excellence by the AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC).

Code Labs of Google usually provide a guide tutorial on coding experience. Code labs will guide you through the process of building an application or adding a new feature to the existing application. They are spread across a wide range of topics such as Android Wear, Google compute engine, and Google APIs on iOS. It is also a central place for all the developers to attain links to applications to build a software.

The team from Google which is headed by Clare Baylay scrutinised the working of the campus and held discussions with the management regarding the requirements for this lab. There was an interactive session with the students also. They inspected the infrastructure available in the campus that is required for this code lab.
