Mahesh Babu “Bharat Ane Nenu” is a movie which made me introspect and gain something useful in life. As inspiration can be drawn from anywhere this movie inspired me. Though I am naive to write reviews on the movie. The recent movie made me write my heart out about the Mahesh Babu “Bharat Ane Nenu”. It not only portrays about the recent political situations that happened in our country like the Telangana oath taking ceremony mistakes, Hospitalization of the CM in Tamil Nadu, Sudden visits of Y.S.Rajasekhar Reddy to the villages and their developments etc.
There are instances that can be taken and implemented from the movie like:
- Increase in Traffic fine - The emphasis of English medium education in Government Schools - Implementation of Local Governance
Though these things are not in the hands of the common man to change there are some scenes which make us introspect and implement in our lifestyle.
Inferences drawn from the Scenes
1. Intro speech at Convocation and Mahesh Babu saying “I DON’T KNOW”:
INTROSPECTION
Intro scene when Mahesh Babu says after reading one course I feel that there is more to learn and that makes me learn more and more in life. That’s what we need to understand ‘The Day we stop LEARNING is the day we become static’. Learning is a continuous process and we can’t stop that. It is true that we don’t know what to do in life until we find the reason for what we are born for.
2. Mahesh Babu spending the night in Hospital with his Brother:
WORK-LIFE BALANCE
We always struggle to maintain work-life balance and fail to understand our parents. Mahesh Babu stays in the hospital with his brother in spite of his busy schedule as a Minister and portrays true gentlemen by playing his role as a brother and a son to a stepmother by taking care of her child and explaining him about their family stature and situation in a sensible way. We need to understand that in order to become successful there must be a perfect balance in professional and personal life.
3. Mahesh Babu asking his team about the work and asking them for guidance:
INQUISITIVENESS
The scene when Mahesh Babu asks his team for support to get used to his role and promises that he is a quick learner shows his humbleness and his inquisitiveness to learn and then start work rather than jumping directly into conclusions and taking actions which may later turn futile. One must not lose inquisitiveness and also be humble to learn.
4. Mahesh Babu asking the traffic team to come on the same day itself:
AVOID PROCRASTINATION
When the team says that they’ll arrange a meet with the Traffic team tomorrow, Mahesh says isn't it possible today. We generally procrastinate even minute things in our life like calling our friends, wishing people etc. this also becomes a habit in our professional life too which must be avoided at the earliest.
5. Mahesh Babu encounters the press with one line answer:
COURAGE
When the media makes fun of his speech, he admits the mistake and answers back both verbally and in action after implementing the GO. One must not sit back and get depressed when people mock at you but roar back with actions that give them the answer.
6. Mahesh Babu’s 1 st cabinet meeting:
PLANNING & PREPARATION
Mahesh delays the cabinet meeting and takes time until he gets a brief view of all the departments and the working style of the cabinet. He even does the groundwork and gets his queries in front of the cabinet instead of blabbering for the sake of conducting a meeting. One must be equipped with data and do the groundwork before passing on any comment is the learning he shows us in the movie.
7. Mahesh Babu addressing the Assembly:
MAINTAINING COOL & CLARITY
One can’t deny the fact about the diction he used and the way he addressed with the word ‘MADAM SPEAKER’ and the dignity he maintained in the assembly which made the opposition mum at a point. He didn’t lose his cool and also conveyed what he wanted to convey in the simplest form as possible. This is something we need to adapt as we prepare beforehand but lose our cool and get disturbed which loses the effectiveness in presenting our view thereby changing the whole meaning.
8. The scene at the Press meet:
NEVER GIVE UP
Remember the scene when Mahesh Babu shouts “I am not done yet”. Though it is regarding his talk it also symbolizes that he is not finished yet and he will rise again to bring the change. When we encounter a failure we tend to say to pull ourselves back saying IT IS OVER but it is something we need to change and develop.
9. Serving to Brahmaji:
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
When Mahesh Babu asks Brahmaji to sit and he serves him it is something we as young managers need to develop, as that small deed may change the mindset of the employee and he becomes loyal to the superior. It is the concern we need to show towards our subordinates that make them feel good and also improves their efficiency.
10. Resignation
PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH
Since the day Mahesh Babu has taken charge he speaks about accountability and that is what he also does when he is in the negative looks of the public. He confronts the heroine’s father and clarifies the misunderstanding and becomes accountable for all the concerns caused showing us that We need to be accountable for our mistakes rather than throwing the blame on others and escaping the consequences.
Finally, as all of you know is about the PROMISE which doesn’t require a special mention.
