There are somethings we used to believe during childhood and later came to know the truth behind them. There are few things of which we still doesn't have clear understanding. The below are the the Amalgamation of both such things.
1. Ear buds' diameter: We always feel wondered why the diameter of an ear bud is way more than our ears' diameter. Ear buds are made to clean the our area of ear and is not meant to go inside. This is the reason why any good ear bud manufacturer makes ear buds with diameter more than that of our ears.
2. Hindi is India's National Language : No Hindi is not India's National Language. It is India's official language. 'Official language' usually refers to a language in which the government functions. A National Language can be an official language but not vice versa. And there is no national language for India.
3. Swallowing Bubble Gum will take days to digest : Bubble Gums doesn't get digested when swallowed. They come out of your digestive system in the same form. So it won't bind your intestines.
4. Domestic Gas Cylinder weight : it was written both 15.6 Kg and NETT WT: 14.2 Kg. Here the weight of empty cylinder is 15.6 Kg and the weight of gas is 14.2 Kg. That is the reason why empty cylinder feels way more lighter than gas filled one.
5. Length of Educational Videos : Almost every video of Educational channels in YouTube like NPTEL have length of 1 hour. Because of this many don't attempt watching them or leave them abruptly after few minutes of watching. But if you observe these videos they were taught to us in a very slow pace. They do so that it can be understood even by a person with poor English skills. You can change the speed settings from ×1 to ×1.25 or ×1.5, by which you can complete the video and understand it by spending much lesser time. This makes feel that watching them is a doable job.
6. Feminism : This is the most misunderstood word of the decade. Feminism is the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities. But Women are practicing sexism in the name of feminism. The after affects of this misunderstood ideology made few innocent men's life hell.
7. Kashmir is part of India : No, Kashmir is not a part of India when British partitioned our countries. You may hate this, But the fact is that that a fact is a fact. During the partition Hindu states are given for India and Muslim states are for Pakistan. Where as the Kashmir's king Hari singh is a Hindu, But the majority people who live there are Muslims. So they remained neutral and haven't joined any country during partition. But when Pakistan tried to invade Kashmir they came to India to seek protection. Our government asked Kashmir to be a part of India to send our military to fight against Pakistan. Hari singh along with other Muslim mass leader Sheik Abdullah (who later became emergency prime minister of India) accepted the proposal.
On their word India fought against Pakistan in between 1947-48. The problem is that both Hari singh and Sheik Abdullah has not taken public opinion while taking that decision. Which later raised to a political war against both India and Pakistan. Though only Pundits and Buddhists initially lived in Kashmir, Muslims became the major population by 1947 and during the partition it chose to be independent from both India and Pakistan. As of now the Muslims of Kashmir protesting that they want to be independent and if India lets it to be independent, it will be acquired by Pakistan within days. There is no much need of Protecting Kashmir for India, but Kashmir needs India to retain its beauty forever. Once it goes into the hands of Pakistan it will be destroyed.This is a never ending fight.
8. 35 mm and 70 mm Theaters: Many think that 35 mm and 70 mm mean the size of the screen in that theater, which is not. mm implies millimeter and you cannot expect a theater screen of such small dimensions. It is actually the width of the photographic film (in other words negative). It is about the difference of resolution of the film not about the screen.
