Though this is not the IPL season, but it is definitely the season of 'Game of Thrones'. We've seen a lot of comparisons, but this one - comparing Game of Thrones with IPL teams and their strategies is a different one. Let us not give too much of seriousness and fanism for our TV series, but enjoy the comparison.
1. Chennai Super-Kings - House Targaryen Former great team of the IPL (read: Westeros), dominating in their respective leagues. Later overpowered by other noble houses such as Mumbai Indians, Kolkata KnightRiders. Next year - coming back in power in New Season. Srinivasan has three dragons; MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ashwin
2. Rajasthan Royals - House Baratheon House Baratheon is a legally extinct Great House of Westeros after King Robert Baratheon died (read: Dravid retired). He did defeat the Targaryens to gain the throne just like in first IPL, they defeated Chennai Super Kings to be the greatest team.
3. Kolkata KnightRiders - House Lannister Hated by everyone outside their fraternity. Ruled by some ruthless ruler (Gautim Gambhir). Currently dominating the IPL (Westeros).
4. Sunrisers Hyderabad - House Starks Dominant from last 2 seasons. Always under the paws of the Kolkata KnightRiders (read: always getting defeated by KnightRiders).
5. Kings XI Punjab - House Tyrell Full of pretty (Preity Zinta), glamorous people and some mighty soldiers but haven’t been able to make their mark in IPL (Westeros).
6. Gujarat Lions - The Unsullied Mighty and underrated!
7. Rising Pune Super-Giants - House Bolton Dominated the last season for a short amount of time. However, the rule didn’t last long!
8. RCB - The Night’s Watch Master in their art - Attacking. Led by a strong attacker (Jon Snow) Virat Kohli.
