There are quite a number of spooky incidents happening in and around the city that every horror lover wants to know. 1) Kundanbagh Haunted House: This is considered as the Hyderabad’s most haunted place. Back in 2002 a woman with her two daughters committed suicide, a thief who broke into the house found their bodies in a highly decomposed state inside the house. The neighbours claim to have seen the mother and her two daughters walking around just few days before they were discovered dead. It is said that the trio were into some extremely unusual activities like lighting candles at midnight and walking around the house, scaring away people with an axe, and hanging bottles filled with blood on the veranda. 6 copy 2) Ravindra Nagar: A series of suicides around 2012 in Ravindranagar put the area in the list of haunted places in Hyderabad. Residents attributed the suicides to the presence of a ghost, starting all night vigils to protect their houses. Around half a dozen families living in the area abandoned the place out of fear, leaving the houses in a hurry. A creepy feeling runs down the spine when one enters Ravindranagar in Sitaphalmandi, especially post 6 PM. The streets wear a deserted look, the houses have Jai Sri Ram painted in red on the walls and doors. As night falls, the street lights go out mysteriously accompanied by an instant dip in temperature. Some drivers have complained of repeated tyre punctures around the place. Those who have encountered these spooky experiences do not dare to wander near this haunted place in Hyderabad. 4 copy 4) Dedh Lakh Ghar: It is located in Sithaphalmandi. The house was constructed 40 years ago for an amount of Rs 1.5 lakh, which explains the name. The house stands desolate and uninhabited because of the long chain of suicides that happened with every family that tried to live here. Many horrifying sounds were heard by the trespassers while few of the paranormal societies have captured apparition like smoke with in the interiors of the house. Some trespassers noticed crying of the woman while no body was present there. 1 copy 5) Ramoji Film City: Ramoji film city was built on war ground over thousands of soldiers were dead in the rule of Nizam Nawabs. So many visitors have experienced scenarios with mirrors scribbled with strange Urdu words. The most interesting and amusing fact about this haunted place in Hyderabad is that the ghosts have their favourites – girls. The ghosts on these grounds typically attack women, almost like a rapist, their invisible form molest these women by tearing their clothes, knock on the bathroom door and appear as shadows in the changing room. 7 copy 6) Golconda Fort: It is the one of the biggest forts in India. Golkonda Fort was also a site for endless sufferings and misery, all of which have left their mark on the paranormal activity of this place. People have reported watching a shadow dancing in the fort complex as well as instances of utensils being hurled at them or sudden, sharp cries of pain coming out of nowhere but the most notable spirit haunting its ruined walls is that of Taramati Baradari who was a courtesan turned queen and still roams the corridors of the fort in spirit form. 3 copy 7) Shamshabad Airport: Rajiv Gandhi International airport located near Shamshabad is popular by the name of Shamshabad Airport. It got established in the wake of various disputes which lead to numerous deaths. This place is considered as the haunted house that belonged to person who had purchased it on loan. Due to his heavy debts his was unable to clear the loan. Apparently he was beheaded on his wedding by debt collectors. Once the building was taken under the government care, a guard was placed at the building. Unfortunately, the guard was found dead next morning.
