This Hyderabadi Couple Has Been Feeding Nearly 200 People Every Sunday Outside A Cancer Hospital!

Every Sunday near the pavement outside the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital at 7 AM in the morning you might see a pretty big queue of people standing. Some of them are patients, some of them are family members of patients.

But, what might amaze you with happiness is that every Sunday N Vijay kumar, an IT techie and his wife, drive down to the hospital and feed nearly 200 people with breakfast. They have been doing this every Sunday for past 2 years without fail. They have been feeding these people who can hardly afford food or accommodation in the Banjara Hills locality.

Vijay spent over a decade in London, before returning to the country. The thought of helping the people in need occurred to the family when one day he had taken hisndaughter to a morning ride on a typical Sunday from Jubilee Hills to KBR Park. And this is right when the family noticed all these people standing with hope in a long queue.

“I was even more shocked to see a young boy, perhaps six or seven years old, lying on the pavement with a tube inserted in his nose. And upon questioning, I found out that, he had lung cancer. His parents were running from pillar-to-post to get him admitted to the hospital. This sight gave birth to the idea of helping these people” Vijay told the Times of India.

He also said that “Feeding breakfast to the needy makes it a happy Sunday for my family. Just by feeding them breakfast, we cannot bring smiles on their faces, but it is a small effort on our part to do something for them.” This couple deserves all the respect for the noble cause they're doing. Unfortunately, we tried our best to get their pictures, but couldn't. If anyone of you can lead us to them, we would be happy for the same.
