Hyderabad has now joined the ranks of metros in the country which have typographical sculptures with the unveiling of the “Love Hyd” scultpture by Telangana Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao. "Love Hyderabad" was inaugurated in the city at tank bund, on the banks of the scenic Hussain Sagar lake. It is set to turn into a new landmark in the City of Nizams and most importantly serve as a tourist spot.
For the past week, around 20 artists from various parts of the country and abroad have participated in paintings of buildings and public walls in the city for the propagation of street art. At the end of this innovative street art festival this unique sculpture was inaugurated.
The typographical sculpture is seven-feet high and was created by world famous artists Hanif Qureshi and Hitesh Malaviya.
Telangana Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao, who inaugurated the sculpture, said that it would greatly enhance the city's pull on tourists from around the world. The norm around the world is that any tourist who visits the city needs to check-in with a pic at the sculpture. This custom will make sure there are enough footfalls to the sculpture.
