Chepthe you would not even believe but, nearly 10,000 is count of Telugu students right now, as of 2017. So, as a proud pass out student of the university, I thought why not take you all through a memory ride of all the things that are very relatable to every Telugu student in LPU.
1. GS Foods, Lazeez Foods, Bismillah Foods
LPU gurunchi first and foremost cheppukovalsina vishayam enti ante, ‘LPU is pure Vegitarian campus’. Ee 600 acre campus lo aa moola kuda Non-veg dorakadu. So the only way students can have Non-veg is, get out of the campus and eat as much chicken as you can, mari campus nunchi bayataki raagane andarki gurthokche, main places GS, Lazeez and Bismillah foods ee. Lazeez lo masala chicken, Bismillah foods lo Butter chicken, GS lo chicken biryani lenide akkada weekend gadavadhu.
2. Re-Appears
Asal ‘NO Non-veg’ ee annitikante badhakaramaina vishayam ante, idi anta kanna daarunamaina vishsyam. ee mata vinte students pockets lo money mayam ithayo, ade ‘Re-appears’. 3. Attendance
Of course idi universally anni colleges lo same problem. But what makes attendance special in LPU is that, year end ki 75% lekapothe, jeevitham sarvanasanam. No condonations, no fines. Direct detain. Ee badha ee paga vadiki rakudadu.
4. LPU Grounds
Evenings vaste chalu, classes nunchi direct ga ee grounds ke vachi rakarakala sports ade batches 100’s lo untaru. Cricket, volleyball, basketball, ila okati, rendu kaadu. University lo recreation purpose ki cheppalenanni options unnai.
5. Mess Food
Sucks. Okka maata lo cheppali ante inte. Boys hostel 1 nunchi 7 daaka prathi hostel kinda cheppukotaniki mess ithe undi kani, food mathram bhayankaram, asal tinalem, so the only way students survive here inside the campus is, hostel deggara unna food stalls tho, avi lekapothe paristhithi unimaginable asal.
6. 2000 KM Journey From Home
Asal okasari ikkadiki vacham ante, malli intiki vellataniki yugalu aagali. Vaalu iche 2 or 3 days holidays one way journey ki kuda saripodhu manaki. So, once you are here in LPU, malli semester complete aye daaka malli illu gurthochede ledu.
7. CCTV and Security Guards
A very well-known fact for all LPU students, New Delhi Airport tarwata, mana India motham lo Highest number of CCTV cameras unnadi, LPU campus lo ne. okka mukka lo cheppali ante, LPU oka pedda size Big Boss house anukondi.
8. Telugu Movies in Big Cinemas
One of the best things in LPU for telugu students has to be, ee Telugu movie release ina, first day, first show, ikkada Big Cinemas (Carnival Cinemas) lo chudatam. I still remember watching ‘Race Gurram’ first day, early morning show, sitting in the middle of all the Army (Telugu) people.
9. Campus lo Rs10 Auto
Airport anta size campus mari, block 1 nunchi 60 ki morning, evening nadavali ante, mamul task kadu, so evaro mahanubhavudu, Rs.10 electric autos facility ichadu, first day cinema tickets kante, ee autos lo place dorakatame kashtam akkada.
10. Manali Trip With Friends
Elago holidays lo intiki velledi ledu, kaneesam Manali ki ina podam, ane idea tho ne, LPU lo prathi telugu student batch manali ki velle plan veskuntaru. And as planned, this trip is the memory for the entire 4 years.
11. Library
Exam time lo notes prepare cheytaniki thappa, inka year lo eppudu deeni vaipu kuda tirigi chudam. Porapatu ga eppudanna oka book theeskoni marchipoyama, ante, finish. Fine padi, book return iche varaku, fine amount peruguthune untadi.
12. Golden Temple and Wagah Border
That one night trip to Golden temple, and overnight stay there is the most blissful feeling you will ever have, morning lesi, atu nunchi atu Wagah border (India-Pakistan border) lo ‘Jai Hind’ ani cheer chestunte aa feel ee veru.
13. Midnight Birthday Bashes
Hostels ni ‘home far away from home’ ani vurke anaru. Friend birthday ante, night ki cake cutting, birthday boy ki badhudu, pics, lifetime gurthundi poye memories.
14. LPU Winters
Deeni gurnchi particular ga enduku matladukovalu ante, as a guy from South, manam inta extreme weather ki alavatu padaledhu. Punjab is a one hell of a state. Summer lo emo 45 degrees tho extreme hot, winters lo emo 9 degrees Celsius tho extreme cold. Ika winter lo anta chali lo class ki vellali ane mood ee radu, sagam students ki attendance dobbataniki ide karanam.
