Hailing from a small town, Amalapuram, he came to the big city with dreams of entering the movie industry like his uncle. He was employed in the camera department initially.
But the disrespectful treatment in the camera department made him take to the much noted make-up department. He figured that this segment of the industry demanded extreme respect.
He perfected the art and soon made his place in the make-up department.
Photriya, a celebrity photographer, found his make-up so appealing to his camera that he kept Nagu in the loop for most of his celeb photo shoots thereafter.
Time flew by, his skill grew his demand, and soon his dream of being able to make Pawan Kalyan look his best has already become reality.
Today, he is claiming the position of the make-up chief for quite a few movies and he gets to call the shots about how the look of the actor must be according to the script.
Hey, don't think make up is all about making a person look good. Scar make-up is a thing. "With movies evolving into different concepts, the scope for make-up is also evolving. Fight scenes always demand wound or burn make-up and it is a challenge to make it look as realistic as possible," he says.
Coming from a very humble background and relying on his own hardwork, Nagu despite being in the position that he is in currently does not forget his roots.
He has actively helped people from his village to come to the big city and got them employed here. Every struggle he faced financially back then he retributed and how!
