Rubath of Hyderabad or Nizam Rubath, is a guesthouse built for Haj pilgrims who hail from the erstwhile Nizam state will host at least 90 pilgrims from ten districts of Telangana, seven districts of Maharashtra and four districts of Karnataka this year. The guest house is located in Mecca.

The Rulers of Hyderabad State had purchased this guesthouse late in 12th Century Hijri in their names and in the name of their family member dear and near. Several immovable properties have been arranged in Mecca al Mukarrama for the benefit and convenience of the pilgrims coming to the Holy Place from Hyderabad for Haj, Umrah and Ziarath.

As Known from the date of purchase, these properties were being used for the accommodation of pilgrims coming from Hyderabad Sate.These properties were never used for personal purposes of the founders. Since more than 100 years these properties were being utilized for the same purpose.

These properties were first purchased during the regime of the Ruler of Hyderabad The Nizam V , Nawab Afzaluddaoula Bahadur. As per the declaration made by H.E.H. Nawab Mir Barkath Ali Khan Mukarram Jah Bahadur it was confirmed that these are waqfs and solely dedicated to provide accommodations to pilgrims coming from Hyderabad.

Originally there were around 42 buildings, but only a couple are left now after the expansion of the grand mosque of Mecca. It is under the Nizam trust, Nizam Awqaf Committee. At present, pilgrims are accommodated in only one Rubath building having capacity of 236 pilgrims. . While the Rubath in Makkah was not taking in pilgrims due to rifts between the Nizam’s family and Haj Committee, this year the matter was resolved.
