Hyderabad is all set for Saveathon - a beautiful event for a wonderful cause. Saveathon was initiated to support and create a social awareness for woman safety, female foeticide, water scarcity and other such causes.
The idea behind Saveathon is to help and facilitate the need for awareness and attention. The core objective is to bring about the much needed social change in our society. The cause adopted for Saveathon 2017 is “Save Water”. The Main Objective of 2017 Season will be to create awareness about “What is that you as an individual can do to ‘Save Water'.
Of all the water on this blue planet of ours, only 3% of it is freshwater. And this precious, life-giving resource has seen a decline of 35% in the species that live within its realm since 1970. We must use water more wisely. We must make better use of the bounties and services that it provides. Imagine a situation where you find out that water won’t be available in your area for 2 days. Activities you didn’t even think would get affected will be put on halt. Everything right from cleaning up to basic consumption will become difficult. It would make one realize how important water is to every single human in their daily lifestyle. Water has always been one of our prime needs for survival.
This December 10th, Run for our water. You can join the event Saveathon 2017 and take Pledge to Save Water and Contribute to saving our water resources. The event is being organized by Maiden Drop and HDFC Bank, which is the Prime Sponsor for this event. The 5K Run pass costs Rs 450 and the package includes Decathlon T-Shirt, Finishing Medal, Bib, Energy Drink, Snack Box, Fruits, Goody bag. The pass for 10K Run costs Rs 650 and its package includes Decathlon T-Shirt, Timing Chip, Finishing Medal, Bib, Energy Drink, Snack Box, Fruits, Digital Timing Certificate, Goody Bag.
