Kakara Shyam Kumar, a boxing champion born in a poor family. A 21 year old with already 6 international gold medals, and 9 national level medals. In fact this is all just his beginning. What's exciting is that, his father's also a great boxer. But due to financial problems, he had to sacrifice his career.
The Spirit Of Becoming A Boxer:
Despite the fact that he is just 21 years old. He is better than most boxers who are elder to him. And there is an interesting story behind why he wanted to become a boxer. When he was a kid, he used to visit real boxing rings because his elder brother used to get train there and Shyam used observe all the professional boxers. And It was the very moment when coach Sagar noticed Shyam's passion, and body language and his interest towards boxing and started training him.
His father is a mechanic. Shyam used to help his father with work and learn boxing at the same time. He started balancing his professional and personal life while he was very young. Shyam was stubborn when he was a child, importantly, he wasn't really afraid of anyone and anything when he was a child.
Asia championship, National level championship, are just a few of achievements he has in his name. He has fought boxers from Cuba, Russia, Kazakisthan under 46-KG category and has won 9 championships. He is not just making the people of Vizag proud, but instead making the people of entire country raise their heads with pride. He is currently working as a railway employee and is aiming to win a gold in 2022 Olympics.
