The Origin: “FaceBook Live Chat” is now the most trending and happening concept throughout the entertainment field. From movie promotions to interaction with fans and sharing their views, live chat has become a prominent tool. But the most annoying thing about this is the type of common dialogues stars hear on it like “One word about Mahesh” “One word about Pawan”. A thought like, What If the stars spoke open-heartedly with fans? What If they address a creeping issue openly? Was the main point in this story.
Why Regina: She was the one I had in mind as I worked on the story. Firstly I was a huge fan of Regina, needless to mention about her expressions and charm. When we worked for IIFA, I saw that she could grasp the essence of dialogue with total ease. That was the moment I've decided that this should only be done by Regina. But what about Direction? It’s our anniversary it should sure be a Thope, but who can the director be?
The Wordsmith: We often struggle to entertain people with an article, but with just a status update in Facebook, he can inspire over 100 people! And this is evident when we go through Phanindra Narsetty’s profile. We all still remember how he was able to amuse us with a single character in “BackSpace”. He made us feel what love can look like just with a coffee cup? *Such talent*Much Wow*!! I immediately called him up and narrated the story.
Pre-Production: Obviously, Phanindra wasn’t completely pleased with the script. Then again we had to rebuild it from rags to the now riches. His work was evident with the scene where Regina adds her fan’s photo in her page and that was another emotional twist which made us emotional, such is his class.
Casting: The fan character was to be played by myself but the immaturity, the B.Tech student features had to be evident hence my selfishness gave me an Idea to bring in my brother, as obviously people wouldn’t believe me as a B.Tech Grad!
Shooting: The big day was 6th March, but Regina could only squeeze out 2 hours out of her super busy schedule and we had to wrap up by then. Challenging, yet possible was what we thought! She needs an ovation from our side as that was the time she consumed to by heart the script and convey the same through expressions. “Script minge vaadiki kaadhu, vandina vaadiki telisindhi asalaina manta” well this is for Phanindra for the way he handled such a tense situation.
Dubbing: Many say that Regina couldn’t dub her own movies hence we wanted to prove them wrong and there you go she gave her first dubbing for *Her and all it took her was just 3 hours!! I dubbed for my brother in the meantime.
Post Production: This was the most crucial aspect, as it was a summer afternoon the video did come with a lot of bleach, making it look hasty. Again the wordsmith played his magic. This time Phanindra handled Editing, DI and special applause to Naresh who gave us a wonderful Music. And last but not the least Asst.Director Karthik's dedication was notable as he made our journey smooth and swift throughout.
Release: It was scheduled to release on 27th and we were all nervous, and it came out pretty neat, with over 8 lakh views in FB, 5 lakh views in YouTube and all of this at the same time when Kohli was being praised and Internet went gaga over him. “Content unnappudu Kohli kummesina, Dhoni irragottina janaalu mana video ni pattinchukuntaru ani manchi confidence icchindi”.
