Hailing from Amangal village in Nalgonda district of Telangana, she captained the Hyderabad’s under-19 cricket team of Hyderabad and is now selected as a wicket-keeping batswoman. She also finished her B. Tech and MBA before moving to the US. Her capabilities as a batswoman and a wicketkeeper impressed the selectors.

This selection was her newfound hope about her career in cricket, the arrival of this opportunity happened when she almost gave up the sport. Both her parents are ecstatic about her selection and said that she had a passion for cricket since her childhood and that she was constantly striving to build her career even after her marriage. Sindhuja’s story is an inspiration to the youth and to all the married woman who think the beginning of their marriage is end of their career. It teaches us that passion, talent and patience are the right mix for success. Her journey right from the being a part of her school team to being a part of the US women’s national cricket team is both admirable and commendable.
