Vishakapatnam Railway Station Is Officially The Cleanest In The Country!

According to the results of the “Swachh Rail” survey conducted by the Railway Ministry, Andhra Pradesh's Vishakhapatnam Railway Station has been deemed as the cleanest stations in the entire country. Out of the 407 railway stations across the countries, our Vizag railway station has been ranked second with Beas station in Punjab in the first rank. Railway stations across AP and Telangana have been dominating the rankings with Khammam station in the third position while Mancherial, Secunderabad and Vijayawada have been ranked 6th,7th and 9th respectively.

Vishakhapatnam has been ranked the cleanest railway station among the 75 busiest junctions in the entire country. Secunderabad junction follows closely as the second cleanest among the country's biggest junctions. Recently, Vizag has also bagged the honour of being the third cleanest city in the India in the “Swach Sarvekshan” survey conducted by the central government. This was the third survey on cleanliness done by the railways to keep a tab on rail premises as part of its ‘Swachh Rail’ campaign. These results clearly shows the progress Vizag has made in a bid to become one of India's Smart Cities.

Meanwhile, Bihar has three of the most dirtiest railway stations in the entire nation, with Jogbani, Madubani, Sagauli stations being ranked 407,406 and 405 respectively.
